Imagine – if I can – how different
The world would appear
If seen
Through the lens of what I have
Instead of what I’ve lost.
Still learning to move on
I want to
Uncertain how to let go
Of certain pieces
Without losing the lessons they taught me.
But move I must
Let go I shall
If not at this moment
A creed for time that passes
As it does
And the perseverance therein.
The burden of the broken
Perhaps
With an important question
To follow suit:
‘Life exists still, so
What is it you intend to do?’
